INSURANCE FOR FISHING ENTHUSIASTS - DID YOU KNOW ABOUT IT!?

Really, it's not so often that we get to conclude an insurance policy for fishing enthusiasts. The fishing season is already in full swing, and even ice fishing has started since January. It was interesting for us to find out that about 200 000 fishing season tickets are issued in Bulgaria anually (according to IARA). So when Georgi contacted us to conclude a Travel insurance with Sports cover, we did not hold back and asked him a few questions:

•How did you first find the 24ins website and how did you learn that there was insurance for fishing enthusiasts?
•I had no idea there was such an insurance, I was actually surprised when I found it. Quite by chance I saw on the internet that you offer Travel insurance with Sports cover and out of sheer curiosity I looked up which sports were covered. I've been into fishing for as long as I can remember, but I honestly didn't know I could get insured. Then I remembered that my son had ordered the same insurance through your online portal, but for mountain climbing. He too however had not paid attention that fishing could be covered as well.
•You concluded an annual policy, apparently you go fishing quite often? What kind of fishing do you do - freshwater or saltwater fishing?
•I go fishing whenever I can - I own a company and whenever I start to feel stressed and tired I pick up my rods. I go fishing to the Tsonevo dam, the Danube, the Black Sea.
•Are you a fan of Sports fishing?
•Every year I check the Sports calendar of the Bulgarian Federation of Fishing Sports. This year I couldn't make it, but most of my friends will participate in fishing for predatory fish from the shore, the fourth round is coming up in July. That's why the insurance you offer is especially important for fishermen like us - as it has coverages for temporary or permanent loss of ability to work after an accident, rescue expenses, medical expenses due to an accident and/or acute illness... It's also nice that you offer policies from various insurance companies and with different coverages. You can also choose whether to conlude the policy for a certain period of time or annually.
•Fishing for predatory fish!?
•Yes, a big passion for many fishermen. The catch is a catfish - it is the largest predator in our waters. It is found in the lower reaches of the Danube, in Maritza... and more. Fishermen know how big and heavy catfish can be - that's why it's not advisable to fish in the dark and alone.I have personally caught a 17 kg catfish in the Danube, but I am sure that this is not the greatest achievement for such a catch.
•Which insurance company have you trusted and why?
•I opted for Bulgaria Insurance - I saw that other companies offered policies as well - but Bulgaria Insurance had two really good options - Travel insurance for amateur Sports and Travel insurance for amateur Sports with additional coverages. The price difference was about 20lv. And I just decided to choose the insurance with more covers.
